Crochet has been a passion of mine since childhood. It all began when my older sister took me under her wing, patiently guiding me through the world of crochet and teaching me the first basic stitches. As an avid crocheter now, I find immense joy in sharing this timeless craft with others. Crocheting isn't only about crafting projects; it’s a mindful journey that encourages presence and creativity, offering a tranquil escape from the chaos of everyday life. Handmade items always hold a special value, each with its own unique charm and character – a rarity in today’s fast paced world.

INTRODUCTION TO CROCHET

$45 private lesson (45 minutes) (materials included) This is a first introduction to crochet! Students will become familiar with different yarns and hook sizes and learn how to do basic crochet stitches; chain and single crochet; how to start and finish off.

CROCHET FOR INTERMEDIATE

$50 or Semiprivate up to 2 people, $30 each -Group session up to 3 people, $25 each (60 minutes) (materials not included) After mastering the 2 basic stitches of chains and single crochet, this workshop will teach one to two more stitches (half double and double crochet). There will be a variety of different beginner projects (scarf, blanket, hat, coaster, purse) that students can choose from, based on their skills and interests.

CROCHET ACCESSORIES FOR ADVANCED

$50 or Semiprivate up to 2 people, $30 each -Group session up to 3 people, $25 each (60 minutes) (materials not included) Students are confident with a variety of different stitches (chain, single crochet, half double and double). More techniques (increase and decrease of stitches), connecting layers through hand stitching or crocheting, etc will be taught- depending on the project. This workshop will teach how to make accessories (crochet in a circle for coasters or basket, granny squares, stuffed animals, bags) and how to follow a written pattern.
